GART is thrilled to announce the opening of Martina Gagliardi’s first solo exhibition in France, in the heart of the city of Chambery, within the spaces of Espace Larith.
This exhibition presents some of the most iconic works that marked the beginning of the artist’s research together with two new series of works, represented by 7 previously unseen paintings.
Martina Gagliardi expresses herself through her own coded language, which over time, synthesising to the extreme and almost reaching abstraction, becomes an increasingly strong and confident monochromatic sign.
The artist’s evident stylistic evolution, which led to the creation of the new works on display in the exhibition, manifests his growth dictated by continuous experimentation and research into various materials related to agricultural and mercantile contexts, such as jute, sacks and wrapping paper.
